If spirituality is an important part of your life, or you’re just wondering how to make sense of the fact that kids get cancer, connecting with your spiritual leader or the hospital chaplain may be really helpful for you. COUNSELLORS/ psychologists “Talking it out” with a trained professional can be enormously beneficial. They don’t have an agenda, and they’re not going to be comparing your child’s situation to theirs (which sometimes happens when we’re venting with other cancer parents). A lot of cancer support services offer counselling for parents for free. Other Healing Modalities Reiki, massage, body talk or somatic psychotherapy, yoga, psychic or tarot readings - do whatever works for you to find comfort during what will likely be the hardest experience of your life.
